Welcome to iHigh Virtual Academy, San Diego Unified School districts first comprehensive high school that offers all it’s courses online. This brand new virtual school has 2 physical campuses in San Diego, Mt. Everest Academy located in the Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego and the Fremont Campus located in Old Town.
iHigh Virtual Academy is an online learning environment geared towards uniquely qualified students. The typical student at iHigh Virtual Academy is a highly motivated student that works well independently. If you are a student that believes the traditional high school classroom does not suit your needs then iHigh may be the correct placement for you.
Students at iHigh Virtual Academy will use a number of tools to succeed in their class work; email, instant messaging, video conferencing, and online applications are used as well as required face to face time at the chosen campus with an instructor. The ability to read at grade level is required and proficient computer literacy is desirable. Students work through modules within their subject area to gain mastery of the content. Each module requires passing a comprehensive test in order to unlock and move onto the next module of material.
